1985 75 pre-B TRS problem
« on: February 09, 2020, 11:07:53 PM »
In a nutshell the trigger will not slide through the area that contains the slide stop. This prevents the use of a slave pin to hold the trigger return spring in place so the trigger pin can be tapped back into place. The trigger pin diameter is smaller than the CGW floating trigger pin by a few thousands. Either one requires a punch to go in or out. The pin holding the trigger to the trigger bar is not proud on either side. Using a flashlight and magnification I can't see anything stopping the trigger/bar from slipping up and out like so many YT videos. I could put the old TRS back in, but its been in since before I bought the gun in 1995. It's weak. Are the pre-B's different somehow that require a different procedure to get the trigger and bar out? If that info is on the net I missed it or put the wrong questions to google. Thanks for any help.

It should come out if you remove the thumb safety and sear cage.

When I rebuilt my Pre B CZ85 I used a CGW floating trigger pin, but had to "pound" it into the frame.  Read (here) later that the Pre B used a smaller trigger pin than the B models.  Oh well, I guess I'm lucky I didn't bend that new pin.
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

That's beyond my skill set. It will go to the gunsmith. Thanks for the reply.
