I want a good Outer Waist band holster in leather that has good THICK leather. Not any flimsy thin leather , I want the good thick sturdy stuff. Any information is appreciated.

I have a Boriqua Leather holster for my compact. I love it. Thick and very high quality stitching. He's a member here and he may have some on Ebay.

I'm not a fan of pure leather holsters but recently was in a hurry and needed anything asap.
I'v bought cheap leather holster from : www.theholsterstore.net ... and amazingly that one is a great, thick and sturdy holster 
I've spent less than $60 and that holster is way better than the other I've bought from branded manufacturer for my 1911 for over $120

Btw, thickness isn't always an indication of leather quality.

I carry my 75 Compact and 83s in UBG OWB Regulators:

I got my first UBG Regulator for the 75 C, then saw an article where someone had refurbished an 82 and was carrying it in a Regulator.  UBG does not have the 82 or 83 on its gun list, but knowing they made at least one for the 82 I called to ask if they would make one to fit my 83s with their squared off trigger guards.  They agreed to do so with no cost premium.

So I now carry comfortably with an OWB Regulator and accompanying appropriate magazine pouch snapped to my UBG belt.  The holster and pouch straps that snap around the sturdy belt hold the hardware tight to the body, and are conveniently removed should I find myself about to enter a gun-free zone.

Once I've bought it, it fitted great. I always treat leather holster with hot water and the keep firearm holstered until it drys out, so after that procedure it fits perfectly.
It doesn't have any retention mechanism, just friction.

I have a custom holster from Boriqua for my RAMI. Leather is thick so be patient when breaking it in. LOL!
