Good way to touch up polycoat?

Got the FPRP installed on my 75B last night, but my punch slipped 2 or 3 times and marred up a portion of the slide. Is there a good way to touch up polycoat?

Some guys use the black touch up pen and some will say they use various spray paints. If you want it to look right and properly last then refinishing is the only way to fly. That said if I was refinishing I would go for nitride since even polycote is just heavy paint.

I know many like the Birchwood Casey black touch up pen but keep in mind you're still going to see the damage and you'll likely need to reapply it after each cleaning.

I haven't found a good way of fixing this.

I too damaged an epoxy finish and I have tried a few things.

I tried a Matte black enamel. Ehh.
I tried permanent sharpie. Ehh.

You really need something to fill the scratch first and then match the color. That is difficult.

I decided I'm going to hard chrome the gun rather than try and spot-fix the finish.
