Mark on P07 on slide :machine mark or what ?
« on: March 20, 2020, 10:17:06 AM »
On my P07 when looking from above pinted away from me , there is a very uniform straight line/mark on the left side of the slide opposite of the ejection side. I can feel it when running my fingernail over it. It doesnt look like a crack becasue it is very uniform and the inside of the slide and outside looks fine. Do you guys have this on your P07 ? Its the small mark near my thumb , not the chamber hood.

Almost looks like a brass mark. Will it come off with some CLP and 0000 steel wool?

Yeah, also my first thought...

tercel1989: anything suspicious inside the slide, what could correspond to the line/mark? :

On my 2014 P-07, I don't have that mark.

It's not anything what CZ has done for purpose. Either mark which appeared during usage, or something unexpected done during factory machining...

My 2015 made P-07 had that out of the box. Just a machine mark and nothing to be concerned about.

I realize that the ejection side has machining , but this mark is opposite of the ejection side.

So is yours on the opposite side of the ejection area ?

Yes same as yours. Sorry I can't post pics though and since it was my one and only plastic gun it was orphaned 6 weeks ago. That gun had north of 12,000 rounds through it with no issues.

No sir , inside and outside of the slide is very clean and machined just fine. The mark is just on top.

So as SI VIS PACEM PARRABELLUM wrote, it must be machine mark. If there is no any corresponding marks, lines, cracks on the slide, it wouldn't bother me anymore.

My 2018 made p-10c has the same machining mark/line in the exact same spot. I questioned it to but watched enough YouTube vids that I saw where some p-10c’s have the machining mark/line and some don’t.
Nothing to be concerned about I don’t think bud.
