Because I don’t have fingers on my left hand, I’m looking for an easier way to rack my P07.  I'm hoping to find someone who can modify a pin punch to pass through the center of the slide's roll pin and then thread the end to take a thin nut?  The device could be easily installed without any modifications to the slide.  The inside diameter of roll pin is larger than 1/16" but smaller than 3/32".  I wondering if 5/64" might fit.  I'm thinking a pin punch could be turned down to remove the taper, leaving a flat surface to rest against the slide.  Then the punch could be shortened to an appropriate length.  Finding a die to thread the end of the punch may be challenging.  Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.

Hi TXscooterguy,
I'm sorry to hear this. Anyway, this is the life. We need just to find the way how to make life easier.
I've never looked for such devices, however below you can find 3 solutions. Hopefully one will work for you !
Good luck.

CGW Slide racker:

One hand rack:

This one helps to rack using hand palm only:

Thanks Jurek, but one and two don't fit on a P07.  The Arachnigrip would help grip the slide if you have fingers to begin with.  I have devices on my Glocks and XDms that let me catch the slide with just the palm of my left hand.  They won't work on a hammer fired pistol like the P07.  This would have to be a custom piece.  Just wondering if someone with a lathe wants to get creative.  Thanks again.

I would encourage you to call CGW and talk with tech about any option to adopt their tool to P-07.
I think they have the most knowledge to make it working for you.

What about this one?:

I e-mailed Cajun Gun Works.  They showed no interest.  I'm sure they're slammed with other projects.  If I had access to a lathe I'd try my hand at it.  I'm not sure I'm crazy about racking a pistol with the bore pointing at my leg.  Thanks again, Jurek.

You could probably find someone to mill the slide on your 07 to fit the cgw-slide-racker that jurek posted a link to.

Yeap, that's a good idea.
You can ask any local gunsmith. Show him CGW "slide-racker" on their website and he would tell you if it can be done on your handgun.

Here's CGW's repose on my inquiry into their slide racker on a P07: "No sir, it would not be tall enough."

So no front sight adjustment would allow it to work.  I'm looking for a quick and easy way to rack the slide with the palm of my left hand.  Thanks again.

Does it need to be CZ P-07?
With such problem it might be the best option to use the handgun which allows you to operate easily.

There should be enough material in the slide to drill and tap for a simple threaded rod. Something like the one Canik ships with the TP9SFX. I don't think an extended & threaded firing pin stop would be durable enough(if you could thread it). Plus, if it was hard enough to be durable for racking, it may damage the firing pin.

I think it would be workable, though you may have to have the front milled as well given that CGW's site states that the racker
"Works with Meprolight sights and 5.5mm front sights" (not familiar with the 07's front sight set up), as long as the slide can be milled you'd essentially just be matching the front to the rear so I don't see why it wouldn't work...

I just talked to the good folks at Cajun Gun Works.  They said they might -- MIGHT -- make their slide racker / sight for the P07 if -- IF -- there is enough interest.  So if you own a P07 and may be interested in this product, let CGW know.  Thanks guys.

Is this going to be a carry gun, or something for range use?

I, like others here, would worry that anything solid inside the firing pin retainer (crosspin) might damage the firing pin over the long run. At the same time, A firing pin is $25 and as long as you aren't going to carry it, it'll be fine and if it breaks, you replace it. It looks like the crosspin might be damaged first anyway.

But what you are asking isn't impossible and if you want to give it a shot, I could probably make something that would work.

If you aren't adverse to spending a little more money for a permanent solution, you might try a dovetail adapter plate and micro red dot. You can use the red dot to rack off of like a giant handle. You'll want to recheck your zero more often than a custom milled slide, but it wouldn't require waiting 8 weeks for a custom slide cut. This is probably the best option, including the handle, because the front of a red dot gives you a nice and big surface to push on.

If you know someone with a mill, they can cut a custom dovetail for these handles, but then we're back to milling the slide.

I tried to find a rear sight for the P07/P09 that would be easier to tap for a handle, but no dice. The CGW folks may be your best bet for that kind of adapter. The price is reasonable too, assuming they ever make them.

My carry gun is a Kahr PM9 with a Crimson Trace Laserguard.  The P07 is just for the range.  When the RO asks, "If you are finished, unload and show empty" I want to be able to pull the slide back with my left palm while keeping the muzzle still pointed at the backstop.  I've just purchased the CGW slide racker / sight.  I've got a set of jeweler's files.  I'm going to see if I can make this work.  Thanks, Anach.

For such case M&P® 9mm SHIELD™ EZ would be perfect for you. So easy to rack using just hand's palm.
