It's really very easy. If you'll use the same weight bullet and propel it at the same velocity, it will have the same felt recoil as your regular SD load. Usually you can look on-line and find plenty of sources for commercial ammo velocity. (Now be aware it may not have the exact same POI or be as accurate as the actual SD round, but it will suffice for training.)
However, W231 tops out at about 1050fps and most SD ammo is well over 1100. So you're going to probably require another powder to do this.... BE-86, N340, Unique, Power Pistol, CFE Pistol, HS-6.... something in that

RMR is still shipping its 124gr JHP, and that's the bullet I'd probably use mainly due to availability. They make those in-house, so there'd be no middle-man wait times, and they seat really good with a common RN seating anvil.
