Shadow 2 deal?
« on: April 07, 2020, 03:20:33 PM »
Hello everyone. I found a NIB shadow 2 grey for $1050.00 (plus shipping and FFL), and am wondering if that is as good of a deal as I think it is, or if that is how the prices are starting to trend for this gun. I have searched around and it seems to be the lowest I can find anywhere, but with all the lunacy of the gun market right now due to the COVID pandemic, I just wanted to double check to make sure. Thank you.

Thank you for the quick response. I cant find it anywhere in person or online for less than that. Anywhere I should look in particular?

That's the lowest I could find mine for last year.  Decent deal.

Over the past few months, I noticed all Shadow 2 models are priced $75-$150 higher than they were before.

The grey ones can be had under 1000 if you're patient.

1050 is the lowest price I've ever seen on the black framed models.

Ok! thanks for the info guys. I am going to go ahead and grab it. I have been looking for a few months now, and haven't seen anything lower NIB. It's from out of state, so I can avoid the sales tax, which will save me more than I'll be spending on shipping and FFL fees. I think I'd rather jump on it now, than wait for who knows how long for the price to MAYBE drop 50-75 bucks. I'm currently in Florida and the prices at LGS's around here don't seem to be much lower than the MSRP from CZ, even before this whole pandemic started!

Just be happy you can get one :).  I have one in CA but it was not easy to get since it is off roster. And the FFLs here charge $100 put of state transfer fee. I had to pay a huge premium for mine.........

chomorro; I am originally from San Diego, so I know how that goes. I haven't been back since I joined the military 6 years ago, and forgot how much I take less stringent gun laws for granted. Thanks for putting it back into perspective for me lol.

bradfordlh; Dang! was that online? I know the blue grips are supposedly the cream of the crop in terms of finish/frame milling quality, and the perfectionist in me was convinced that I wanted that model more, since it was held to a higher standard. But, since it is only a difference in finish, and has nothing to do with function, I found myself drawn to the urban grey color scheme. If they were both perfect, and it was literally just a color difference, I think I would choose the grey. So, I went based on that. However, part of me is still drawn to the blue/black since I know it was hand picked to be perfect and blemish free. Either way... good catch!

It shipped quickly, and was here in just a couple of days. Last Friday, I went and got all the paperwork and BGC done, and when I put that thing in my hands?... Good lord this is a nice gun. I've had a lot of different handguns over the years, and feel like I've done a pretty good job choosing quality firearms, that fit great in my hands. But man, this thing is something else. I should call them back, and offer them a few hundred more.

It's been a long time since I've  picked up a Colt Python but if my recollection is correct a Shadow 2 is as close as I've seen a DA/SA auto pistol come to approximating a Python's DA trigger.

I haven't much experience with other makes of 9mm can only compare with .45 ACPs i've owned and shot but my opinion is Shadow 2 is the best shooting pistol I've ever picked up.

I think you'll like it.

Wish is was legal in IDPA.

To say that I'm excited about it is a bit of an understatement. I have a strong urge to replace every gun I own with its closest CZ equivalent. They are nice enough guns, but something about them just isnt quite.... Czech... enough. Lol.
