Great suggestions. It hadn't occurred to try a filter on the TRL-1 HD, but I think I'm going to.

I primarily run to 1) protect the glass lens and 2) cut down on light/reflector/lens reflectivity when the light is not being used.

Pl mini 2 on my g29, more than enough lumens to flood my house at  night, and throws it about 50yd in the open. Dont need a fancy surefire for my purposes.
