Tailhook brace for Scorpion
« on: April 16, 2020, 09:55:15 AM »
Where's the best place online to buy the full tailhook brace, in fde?  I've got the sb brace, and it's ok, just want more of a streamlined look.

They are out of stock, but that is exactly what I'm looking for.

I'm in the same boat. I have the SB Brace, but I like the tailhook or shockwave braces more.

Mine started out as a micro with the PDW style brace and I hated it. You won't regret the swap all though it is pricey. If you currently have the PDW brace I strongly suggest heating the screw on it before you try and remove it.

How close does the end of the barrel come to the end of the handguard once you remove the faux suppressor? And what muzzle device did you add? Thinking about ditching that it on my micro as well.

The factory micro barrel is about an inch or so short of the handguard. If you want to ditch the faux suppressor you'll have to get a longer flash can or something that goes out past the handguard. I ditched the barrel and faux suppressor and got an HBI micro k barrel (5.3") and a VG6 Gamma brake which only serves for looks really.

That's kind of what I figured. I was this close to buying a pistol and modifying it but bought the micro instead. The only thing I dont like so far is the brace. If I can find a blast difuser that will add enough length to ditch the faux suppressor I may do that too. Thanks.

Looks like preppers has the tail hooks stock. I backordered the smaller version and the stock conversion from midway and it's on the truck for delivery today.

I purchased mine a Preppers.  Sometimes they are out of the FDE tailhook and only have fde stockarm/black tailhook, but it you wait and keep watching, the FDE/fde tailhook will come back in.  FYI, they just cerakote the black tailhook to fde, so maybe look into that, if you can't buy direct.  The tailhook is cerakoted, not the stock arm, that comes from CZ, FDE polymer.

That's funny, I'm getting the mod1c delivered from Midway today too. It was back ordered for over a month. Their website shows it as in stock right now
