Welcome to the CZ 82 community!  In addition to wanting to be a hipster like the rest of us, what made you decide to get yours?  Did you think about it for a while or just fall into it?

Does it come with a stock or a brace?  That's one big gun ;)

Wanted something in a caliber besides 9x19mm, something with plenty of ammo still available (with the added bonus of it being still fairly cheap), something not too expensive, reliable, easy to shoot and operate (it’s going in my wife’s car), and the fact that it’s my first Milsurp AND a CZ. This one ticked all the boxes, the deal I got was just two extra layers of icing on the cake.

Several of your reasons were my reasons, too.  Give us a report after your first range trip.

Grouped well, sights are a little off but I didn’t have my brass hammer and punches with me to drift them over. I got in a shipment of ammo yesterday that’s enough to get back to the range, adjust the sights, AND let my wife take a lesson with an instructor friend, since ostensibly I bought it for her.

Got the sights adjusted best as I can. I’m still hitting a little low/left. My eyes seem to be degrading on a monthly basis. FWIW, that’s not a standard size B-27 target, it’s a smaller B-34. 7yds with PPU 95gr JHP.

That's not very good for a distance of 7yrds? Are you sure you are not anticipating the recoil when pulling the trigger ?

No. I do fine 10-15 yds with my Phantom. The sights on this are the Meprolight TruDots night sights for full size CZ75 models and they’re too big for the short sight radius of the model 82. And thanks for the positive encouragement.

I had the 75 compact version of the Meprolight night sights installed on my 82 a few years ago.  It hits properly at 7, but way high at 10 and further out.  I shot off of a bag to confirm it wasn't me.  I had been thinking about replacing either the the front or rear sight, but haven't gotten around to it since I don't carry that gun much anymore.

You can’t beat a 12rd .380 pistol. I have owned 82/83’s for years, when they first hit the market 10 years or so ago, there were some nice ones with the original huge holster
