Hi power triggers seem to smooth out over time on their own. Removing the mag disconnect makes the reset weak and causes issues shooting at speed. It’s not a competition trigger for sure but it’s not as bad as the Internet makes it out to be.

Removing the mag disconnect makes the reset weak and causes issues shooting at speed?

Have you had this experience with more than one BHP?  (I don't understand why removing the mag safety would negatively affect reset.)

In any event, that has NOT been my experience, nor have I ever seen that set of "issues" mentioned by folks who have removed the mag safety.

I'll agree, however, that most "stock" triggers aren't as bad as the internet makes them out to be -- even Glock factory triggers -- but  folks making that claim about BHPs are typically looking for a different level of performance -- including something appropriate for competition (be it USPSA, IDPA, or Bullseye-style shooting.)

Only experience with one modified trigger, I’ll grant you that. It was a Novak, so not a hack job. The same spring force that makes the tigger heavier also strengthens the trigger return. The weaker return force with the safety removed made the reset point less noticeable.

I haven't modded my CZ...yet. But  when I did the Trigger job on my Hi Power I had to change four springs. The trigger return spring, heavier, The recoil spring, heavier. The firing pin spring, lighter. And the trigger spring lighter. but it's much nicer now, I ditched the magazine disconnect at the same time. I was told that they all work together and it's the way to get it done right. I was worried I'd never get that gun put back together as there were parts all over the place. It all worked out with no parts left over either!

HOWEVER Neither the CZ or the Browning's trigger can hold a candle to my new Fusion Reaction 1911A1. 4lb 9oz and the thing is smoother than butter coated with Teflon. Of course it cost more than the both put together.
