That's the solution for sure. As a knifemaker I'm used to fitting g10 to metal with tight tolerances. Should be an easy modification if I go that way.

So I took a chance that the spring kit from Galloway Precision would fit, I'm happy to say that it does! The instructional video was also very good, though I nearly lost the magazine release detent (it's tiny!) and the trigger return spring was not easy. I also had to make a 1/32" punch out of an old dental tool to take out the tiny roll pin holding in the right side safety lever, which is unique to the K12 Sport.

The trigger was already extremely crisp and the pull was at about 4.5lbs from the factory. I took the time to polish the usual parts while it was in pieces, and now it's even smoother, with the pull around 3.5lbs. Would have liked more, but I expect that'll improve some over time as the gun gets worn in. Sooo... overall I'm pretty pleased with this gun, the now lighter trigger, and especially with my polished and smoother action. Everything about this gun is crisper and cleaner than my 75B, and I shoot them about the same.

I also talked with the Lok Grips folks, and I think the Tanfos will fit, cut short for the magwell. I've debated removing the magwell entirely and going with the medium grips, but TBD on that.

The Tanfo mag well size grips from LOK are very awesome and work great with the mag well if you keep it on. Everything with handguns is so personal and subjective but I'd keep the magwell and fit the grips for it. enjoy, good to know the spring kit worked. When it works out like that it's always a good feeling. Congrats on the new gun!

I really love my K12. My only gripe is the fat black front sight other than that I feel Sar knocked it out of the park on this one, super great value for the money. I got mine for $597 on that ammoaz site.

I never did. Right about the time I was getting into this gun Covid happened, and say what you want about me--I'm not going to pay $45 a box for 9mm ammo. I haven't shot it in over a year to conserve what little ammo I have left.  I'm encouraged by the data available in the new(ish) sticky though.

Can't say as I blame you at all for conserving what ammunition you have.  I have a good stash of ammunition going and I reload, but even I am shooting very very sparingly these days.
My last Range Session in early October I went thru 20 rounds of .22 LR for one Pistol and 50 rounds of 9mm Match Reloads for three different 9mm Pistols, and I have not been back to the Pistol Range since.  I've not been to a good Rifle Range in two years now.  Fortunately, all of my Rifles are sighted in.

I do hope things improve soon, but I think it's going to be awhile yet.  In the meantime, I think I'll develop a new 9mm loading and keep busy in my reloading room.  I still have a good stash of components to work with, so I need to get to work there.

So... I'm looking at this new K12 Sport E and the trigger aint great. I know there are the spring kits, but I think the first thing to go will be the FPB.
I've removed these on czs before. I'm guessing its pretty much the same here? Do I need a spacer like on the CZ or what?

Once that is out I will polish then decide on if it needs full spring kit.

Actually, Automatic Firing Pin Block on the SAR Pistols is not at all like the Cz75B Series Pistols and removing it will have absolutely no impact on Trigger Pull.
SAR Pistols use the same Martin Tuma designed AFPB that the Tanfoglio Pistols use, which releases the Block rather than pushes up the Block.
I recommend that you leave it as it is.  If you're going to mod anything, start with the Springs, although it's been reported that light strikes can occur
with optional Hammer/Main Springs.

I recommend just shooting the Pistol as much as possible and letting everything wear in, before going mod crazy.

I'm new to tangfos. I have the spring kit ordered. I checked the other thread about the top end replacement parts but thats a bit over my budget for now.
Looking forward to learning. I can already say that the Firing pin plate design is much easier to mess with than the roll pin type of CZ.

Yes, the firing pin retaining pin is annoying to me. Just seems unnecessary.

I installed the spring kit and honed the good bits. Learned a lot. I had issue getting the right side safety keeper pin back in. What size are they or where can I get another? I used a finishing nail for a range trip, but that was too small. Then I used a small rollpin from something else that looked correct but was a bit tight still. I think next time I will turn down a section of brass rod to use as a slave pin to make sure the rollpin is aligned correctly when hammering back in.
I contacted support with SAR and told them my issue but if I can just go to lowes and get a rollpin that will work Im down for that as well, just want to confirm size. BTW the right side safety isn't in the user manual PDF, hence the rollpin is not there either.

Good luck getting anything out of SAR USA. Try Partriot Defense out of Kemah, TX or hardware store.
