Got mine in this week. Overall very pleased, though the quality of the rear sight is suspect, and I'll want to replace the whole set with something with better visibility as soon as I figure out what's compatible. SA (only) trigger is about 5lbs OOB, which isn't great, but it breaks sooth and crisp, and has good reset. I like the overtravel adjustment! I ordered a spring kit from Galloway that is SUPPOSED to fit, so will change out the trigger return spring, firing pin and FP block spring at least. Hammer spring is a bit dicey--the ambi safety is staked with a roll pin on the "off" side, and I can't see a way to get it out. Until I figure that out, the hammer spring is staying put, as is the whole sear cage.
My MEcGar mags from my 75b would fit but for the magwell--the heel (toe?) of the mag catches on the magwell a millimeter or two before locking. I'd personally prefer to ditch the magwell altogether, but will obviously need some new grips. My old 75B grips are a no go with magwell removed, but Shadow or EEA Witness might work. Will let someone else figure out that first
.
Overall, fit and finish is nice and clean. There are far fewer tooling marks inside than on my 2003 75B. There isn't a barrel bushing, so there's some jiggle. That's about the only single thing I've found that I don't like that I don't think I can do anything about. But hey, for the price it can't be beat, and it shoots well enough to make me feel bad for the guys next to me at the range.
Interested to hear what others think once these become more common.
