Mississippi Mayor Bans Open Carry During Covid
« on: April 29, 2020, 11:13:20 AM »
If you agree or dissagree on open-carry, that is a different issue. This is just another example of politicins using this covid virus as a chance to take our rights.

As these UN-AMERICAN politicians have stated time and again you can't let a crisis go to waste and you must seize the moment to fundamentally transform government and policy at every turn. Hopefully lawsuits will be brought here and hopefully people will refuse to comply with this. Rights under the constitution are unalienable and are not supposed to be regulatable at the whim of anyone.
I'm sick to death of seeing the constitution stomped throughout this so called crisis. COVID-19 does not scare me in the least. GOVT-20 is going to be a very serious condition for which there will only be one good remedy.

There is no penalty for violating the constitution. When caught, the offending politician(tyrant) just stops doing it until a later date, each time moving the ball forward a little.

Okay, I've let this run (against my better judgement) but if you folks cannot constrain yourself to the facts in the OP, it's going to get nuked.

For instance: Lawsuit filed against Jackson Mayor's open carry ban

What's been posted that isn't factual?

It's drifting from the mayor's actions, into a general diatribe against any and all perceived constitutional attacks by anyone, connected or not.

For instance:

The thread is about Jackson MS, not about what other people may or may not do in reaction to a pandemic.

You've all been around long enough to know we don't do the political ranting thing on the forum

Discuss the OP, or the thread will be locked.

The Mississippi AG has weighed in on ot:

https://www.wapt.com/article/jackson-mayor-bans-open-carry-law-during-coronavirus-pandemic/32280081.  Will be interesting to see what the AG does if (when) the Mayor refuses to comply.

I’m all but certain it’ll be squashed. The mayor may need a psych evaluation.

Outstanding! By the way that's a real nice picture of the mayor and bloomberg. Nice too see he came up SHORT again.
