You can find pics on line if you google.  The base has rounded edges.  The body is satin black.  If you are familiar with the latest higher cap MecGar mags for Beretta M9s or the SIG P226 with the satin/matter finish, it is the same thing.

Anti-friction means it is slick and stuff doesn't cling to the surface - its also not blued and very durable so that they don't rust as fast as blued ones.  Its like a Cerakote finish - very durable, and if not scraped off, won't rust.

They are a real advantage.  They offer one more round than the old ones and are not that much thicker at the base, and are more durable.  They offer one LESS round that the 16 rounders that make the gun significantly larger.

NEW P01 Omegas are showing up with them.

I was really interested in a picture of how the magazine base plate fits against the grip since the mag is a little longer.

I was really interested in a picture of how the magazine base plate fits against the grip since the mag is a little longer.

It is shorter by far than the 16 mag extension - it is also a TAB shorter than Beretta 92 plates that OBTW fit fine.  It provides JUST enough lip to help your pinky not feel lonely. I've had to bend the plate on the flush fit mags to accomodate my pinky.
