I was thinking of the very same thing looking at my P229 and P01 thinking how nice it would be to have a P01 chambered in .357Sig.

Now that is a very interesting looking 45ACP handgun. Does look like a CZ75, P226 and P210 got together.

I have the stainless one and like it more than my CZ 97.  Holds more rounds, cheaper and comparable trigger.

Nice.  I wonder if there's any parts interchangeability.

Ah yes, the SAR K2-45, and I've had one for about four years now!   :)  We often discuss them over in the Cz Clone area and there are quite a few threads there on it.

Excellent .45 Pistol, but I still prefer my Tanfoglio .45 Witnesses to it.  It is accurate, reliable, and better built than most Tanks.

I only have two criticisms of it.

1) It's heavy, especially when fully loaded.  Try carrying one all day.  I only did it once.
2) The Grip is fairly large for my hands, but it probably has to be to hold 14 rounds of .45 ACP.

How is the recoil on it with that higher boreline? Id imagine it's a pretty smooth shooter

I haven't really noticed any higher recoil with my SAR K2-45.   Actually, it might be less, but I'm so used to the .45 ACP, I might be a poor judge of that.

I'll take my S&W 4516-1 45 ACP any day over any of them.

The CZ97 is quite possibly the best all around .45 ACP on the market.

I've shot both and UMMMM , NO ,
Definitely S&W by far. You just can't compare the two triggers, CZ not even close.

I had a comparable S&W 4506 that was a very good .45 ACP  Pistol.  While I really liked it, it always lost out to my .45 Witnesses, when it came time to go to the Pistol Range.
I managed to shoot the S&W 4506 at a section 5 IPSC Memorial Match, but it had me wishing I had brought a .45 Witness instead.
The SAR K2-45 would have performed better as well.  I sold off the S&W 4506 to an S&W Collector that gave me a very very good price for it.

It's all a question of opinion. I've not only shot both but I've owned both. I started out my semi auto experience with 3rd gen S&W's 30 years ago including a 4516 and a 457 so there's nothing I don't already know about them. I still have the fixtures to do a proper trigger job on them. S&W semi autos led me to CZ's and I'm glad they did.
