I cannot find an optics ready P10C or P10S
« on: May 04, 2020, 01:46:34 PM »
Howdy, all.

It is so frustrating to not be able to find a standard capacity optics ready C or S anywhere.  My local shops always have a pathetic selection of CZ, i.e. none, so I have to locate online, and that has been a lost cause lol.  If any of you folks have a line on either pistol, I would be deeply grateful for the lead.

Take care, all, and I apologize for the whining.

As all of CZ products, they pop up from time to time. Now we have a period of absence. Just sign up for email notification at any of Internet  stores.

I have seen a post that Kansas has closed down CZ-USA due to Covid-19, if this is the case you will not see any P10C, F, S optics ready pistols for a few months.

I’m a big fan of CZ and have been looking for an optics ready handgun. I’m use to waiting for a shipment on a new model, but this time I have given up on CZ.  Even if I get a gun looks like I’ll have to search even harder for suppressor sights so I can cowitness. Why it doesn’t come with or have a separate model with them is just another one of those CZ marketing mysteries.

Yes and u mean optic "almost" ready. At least gimme an rmr plate in the box cz. Also FYI cz sells plate and co witness sight combos on their web site and adding on the irons is super cheap. It's like 50-60 bucks for the combo

There is one for sale in the Classified section....  ;D

The one I bought is the only one my LGS has got his hands on, said for whatever reason he hasn't been able to get more shipped in and that was shortly after they first started shipping.

But those sights SUCK.

They are aluminum AND they perfectly co-witness which means they are too tall. The proper sights are in Europe (perhaps Canada) but they are verboten to sell them to you - their version of ITAR.

I know because I reached out to them.

With the current world situation I’m probably abandoning the OR Platform.

Run an RMR and your chances of needing iron sights are very very small. If you train with the RMR you will not even need the iron sights. After 7 years of only shooting with a Red Dot and 40,000+ rounds. I run practice drills with the dot turned off and out to 10 yards I can hit the A zone on a USPSA target at speed just looking through the glass window. When you first start using an RDS you need to do a lot of dry fire training. just draw and find the dot, reholster. repeat, repeat, repeat...... 10-15 minutes every day for 3-4 weeks. Not having iron sights on the gun help you build muscle memory faster. The crotch(iron sights) just slow you down. The eye looks for dot, the eye looks for the front sight, the eye looks for the rear sight, the eye looks for the dot.  All you should be doing is looking at the target, Target focus; when the dot is on the target fire the shot.

For a carry pistol I want irons. The problem is there are none in the USA. The ones CZ does supply are as high as the dot which is a clusterscrew as all you stated becomes compounded.

I’m a self-defense shooter so irons are a must. But they cannot be as y’all as the suppressor height sights.

Your advice on shooting an RMR are valid. I do carry and shoot (and dry fire like there’s no tomorrow) a G45-RMR. Eventually, it just... works but not until a lot of conscious effort is expended.

Thanks for the very thoughtful & helpful response.

Glad you found one. I just dont understand why they did not have sights that co-wittness on these OR models. It seems the only two options for true optics ready out of the box, and you being able to run the optic of your choice is the M&P M2.0 and FN 509 right now.
