Date of manufacture code location?

Ok, I did try a search, could not find anything regarding this.

I did go to the CZ website.

they say that the date code is on the slide, before the serial number?

I do see a 17...then some sort of symbol, then the serial number.

so I'd be right or wrong that 17 was the year it was made?

 got this CZ 75 B this past February

recent production CZ pistols have a 2-digit year code followed by the Czech double-tailed lion proof mark before the serial number.

Older CZ pistols have the date code in a depression behind the extractor.

ok great. i did not want to "assume" what i was reading. so mine was made sometime, in the 2017 year.
