BUL 1911/2011 pistols?

There is something going on with BUL Armory. A lot of my friends and online Forums started discussing about this manufacturer recently.
I don't know when they introduced SAS II Ultralight but I've been listening only positives about it for last 3 weeks.
Even my favorite YT Channel SUNDAY GUNDAY made good review.
Seems to be good alternatives for more expensive Wilson Combat EDC x9 or STI Stacatto C2 as concealed carry handgun.

Hmm.. that was I wanted to ask - who does sell them? No LGS has them, hard to find at my favorite online stores. Hopefully this firearm will be available at next Shot Show...

The Magnum Research model 1911G was actually built by Bul.  I was happy with it, but changed all the internals and finally put a Kart barrel and bushing in it recently.  I think it was a good of a base 1911 as I wanted and came at a good price when I bought it.  It was a competitor to the Ruger 1911 when they first came out.

SAS II Ultralight is so simple in construction. Almost perfect... I'm still missing reversible mag release button...(looks it will never happen in any 1911 and 2011)

VERY nice! I look forward to reading your thoughts. And yes put the blame on me, I’m always willing to shoulder the burdens of my fellow gun lovers. I am quite used to having an unhappy wife due to gun purchases without prior permission. In reality I have an awesome wife who allows me to indulge in my gun affair... within reason.

I see the Stacatto C2 mentioned, that is a very nice reliable and great shooting handgun. 4" barrel accurate and smooth. I would recommend it if you can afford it.
The BUL seems to be a very nicely made, quality handgun as well, but I have no experience what so ever with one so I can not speak to that gun. or brand for that matter.From looking at it on the website, it has a lot of extras and looks solid for a very reasonable price. Short but light about exactly what a Glock G19 weighs.
You could certainly carry it with a good belt and holster for an extended period of time.

I have heard of BUL and never heard bad words spoken but, I know a crap ton of gun people and I do not know one BUL owner personally.
That's not saying anything except maybe I need to diversify a bit. I wish I knew more. When GMSPCR gets his it will be very interesting to hear his take on it.
It does look awesome I will say that. It might be worth a try if you are serious about what you said.

I own an STI (4.5 inch Tachtical Host). It is pictured earlier in the thread. So I have something I can reasonably compare it to. The STI is not practical for warmer weather concealed carry but I do carry it under my jacket in the winter. If this is as nice as the reviews suggest then it will be a great warmer weather carry.

It seems to be good comparison then. Whoever has shot STI would have great idea what to think about SAS II Ultralight.

I Love the Staccato C but I am always interested to hear an unbiased and informed opinion of another gun. Especially one I know nothing about.
You can never have too many guns especially good ones. The Staccato C is nice tight and with about a 3# trigger out of the box. The slide was a little stiffer than I thought it would be but not real hard and I think it will get better with rounds down range. It is a very comfortable gun to hold and to hide for me. I like it. If this one gets a good report from you I might look into it.

Thank you. I really like it. I have shot the staccoto and it is very nice however I can not see the sights on my firearms to well anymore. I wear reading glasses and anything in the 5 foot or less range is a little blurry. Not too bad but I don’t wear glasses when out and about cause my distance vision is fine. Really like having a red dot on my carry gun and anything else remotely comparable is dumb expensive. I have about 5k+ rounds through that STI and it looks like the day I bought it. It is so smooth now and still very tight. Very happy with it. The guy at GP Arms said it doesn’t matter how many of the SAS II’s he orders, they are all spoken for before they even ship to the states and he said many many of his customers come back for a second or third. (That has me nervous) lol

That is also a very good endorsement.
I have bought a gun and had work done to it that in the end cost me more  than the $1250
price tag and this gun has all and then some of what I did so if it is good I may be the only BUL owner I personally know.

I’m the only one I know personally that owns a BUL. I own a BUL Cherokee imported by LSI in Reno Nevada, a G-Cherokee surplus, and a 2-tone Storm originally purchased by a private security company, all in 9mm. They are brutally reliable tanks. I look forward to, hopefully soon, owning an SAS II Ultralight.
