PSA Smoked Mags
« on: May 12, 2020, 10:21:40 PM »
Got 5 of the PSA mags in the smoked and not only are the the best quality mags available I think they're the best looking too! They aren't quite as see through as the lighting and picture makes them look.

PSA mags are great. I have a bunch of them. I highly recommend the extensions they make it will bring capacity to 50 on the stick mags

Love my PSA mags.  Sold my other brands. NO regrets.

It looks like they have 2 different kinds of mags from PSA.
I saw online somewhere that one kind doesnt drop free. Which ones are better?

In my experience none of the PSA mags drop free from the Scorpion. I have seen people say they have gotten some that do but I have not. Also keep in mind they are designed for PSA's 9mm AK and not for the Scorpion. A little sanding and they drop free from the Scorpion and are amazingly high quality mags for a killer price.

I just bought some from PGS the Manticor ones. I figure they had good reviews. I tend to hord mags though and want more.

I'm very new to the scorpion.

Dam, I just bought a bunch. When I had done some research a while ago when I was originally going to buy a scorpion they had good reviews. I haven't seen anything recently. Feeding issues or something?

Problems have been known for a few years. Quick couple searches should help you find posts on here and different forums.

The mags dropping free also has a lot to do with your Scorpion.
Every single mag I have put in my Scorpion drops free, no modification. I push the eject forward with my trigger finger and they all pop out at mach 2.
10, 20, 30 round CZ factory mags (the old smoke ones), Mantacore 32s, PSA 35s.
They all also hold open on the last round.
First gen pistol without trigger weld.

So the PSA mags are as or more reliable than factory?  Is this us the consensus then I will be stocking up.

I have had no malfunctions when using the PSA at all, I had some issues while using the Magpul mags and the factory feel cheap and look like crap so I don't use them at all. Keep in mind the PSA are not designed for the Scorpion and may need a little sanding to drop free but they are of top quality, look great and they flat out run.
