Anyone tried this comp?
« on: May 16, 2020, 12:45:35 AM »
https://www.wingtactical.com/firearm-parts/handgun/handgun-barrels-accessories/pistol-muzzle-devices/rex-silentium-glompensator-g-type-pistol-muzzle-brake/

Says it works with a variety of different pistols. It's appealing to potentially have something to swap between different pistols but I can't really find much info on it

If you are interested, try contact manufacturer directly:
https://rexsilentium.com/
They hopefully have more info available.
Seems to be operational on most of threaded muzzles.

I just ordered that exact comp for my 45ACP Springfield XDM.  Should be here sometime this week.  :)

They got back to me and said they hadn't tried it on Walther or cz yet but it should work so [emoji2369]. They said if it doesn't work they will give me a full refund, good to see they at least have confidence in the product. Highly doubt Parker mountain machine would do that

A Universal comp ?? I thought comps  were made custom to each pistol .
not something I want , unless it's made specifically for my pistol.

It's just a matter of matching the threads and getting it timed in the right position, nothing custom about adding a comp. Now one machined for a specific pistol will match the slide contours better. Little busy looking for my tastes.

I received the brake yesterday.  Unfortunately, it's a no go on my XDM.  The barrel apparently needs some type of shoulder on it for the outer aluminum piece to snug up against.  The outer piece just spins and slides on my barrel after the inner piece is tight.  I don't know about the CZ threaded barrel.

I ordered mine directly from Rex Silentium.  I sent them an email first thing this morning asking if I was missing something in the installation (it couldn't be anymore straightforward).  They responded super quick and let me know that they agreed it wasn't going to work and would refund my purchase.  Going to put in the mail back to them tomorrow.  Looked good on the gun, wish it would have worked.  I appreciate their super quick response though.

This definitely gives me pause considering I believe their website or the other I saw literally had a picture of the comp on an xd if I'm not mistaken

Like I said I don't think Universal is a good idea.
