New Evo pistol, which brace?
« on: May 20, 2020, 07:34:35 AM »
Anyone have the slide out 3 position SBT brace?  Much less bulky than a side folder but not much for incidental cheek weld contact .  .  .  If so how do you like it?

I hated mine and switched to a factory folder with tailhook. Just my preference.

My Micro came with the 2 position slide out "brace" and after trying to shoot with it one time, dumped it and ordered an SB Tactical Folding "brace". The folding brace is just more comfortable to shoot for a longer period of time and you can get a consistent cheek weld.

Are you referring to the Micro S2 pistol, or the S1 pistol?

Either way, I"m a fan of the SB Tactical folding brace. Though some may find it a little on the large side for the Micro S2.

If your SBT gets held up for some reason, I have a like brand new one I took off mine that I would sell. It came on the gun when I bought it and is in perfect condition, I just prefer that stock folder with a tail hook adapter. I also have a scorpion carbine and find the stock folder fits me better than the

Factory folder arm and Tailhook brace is by far the best brace I've used. I use the same set-up on my GP Stribog with the A3 Tactical adapter.

Another +1 on factory folder with a tailhook. It's amazing comfortable and I think it looks the best too. It is a lil pricey but it's worth it if you ask me. Just wish they could make it adjustable. I went from the PDW style brace to the tailhook and couldn't be happier.

Must agree 100%, no better option exist...other than SBR.

Well I just used my stimulus check on a Czech stimulus and wound up with the standard model Scorpion pistol. Was back and forthing between the SB tactical folder and the CZPDW. Bought the PDW because it was only thing I could find in stock locally and also liked the size. A bit disappointed with it though. Not the cheek weld issue...I am used to firing a VZ58 with the original Czech folding stock ...but the amount of up and down wobble in the brace arms.

I’ve got the factory SB side folder that I’d be willing to part with as well, like new, just replaced it with the tailhook and cz arm.

I am thinking of getting the PDW.   AZCZguy, when you say you got yours locally, would that be in the Phoenix area?   If so, would you mind saying where?    Thanks.
