CZ 457 American Suppressor Ready
« on: May 22, 2020, 12:02:34 PM »
I'm looking at purchasing a CZ 457 American Suppressor Ready.  CZ's item number is 02313.  CZ's website indicates that the barrel length is 20.5", but Dahlonega Armory's website indicates that the barrel length is 24.8".  Obviously I'd tend to believe CZ's website information more, but since I'd be buying from Dahlonega Armory, I need to be sure.  For anyone who has this rifle (item number 02313), what's the actual barrel length?

I called CZ and the guy I spoke with assured me that this rifle has a 20.5" barrel, so I went ahead and ordered one.  It will be interesting to try it out with my rimfire suppressor.  Any suggestions on a scope and rings combination?

I went through the same thing when I was thinking about one.  I took a gamble when the ad said 24', but it was shorter than that when it got here.  Glad I took that chance.  Really like mine so far for as little as I have shot it.

I put BKL rings on mine and a Weaver V-16 scope.

viking499, Do you remember the model number of the rings you purchased?  BKL's website is kind of confusing.

257's for a 1" scope.  Will need mediums or high depending on your scope.

I think these are great rings for the money.  They will work on a 3/8" or 11mm rail.

Thanks for the info.  Unfortunately, they're out of stock everywhere.

Must be a run on 22 scope rings too ... :o

Next choice, look for Warne 7.3 rings.  Also great rings, just a little more expensive that the BKL's.  Still fit 3/8 and 11mm.  These seem to sit a little lower, so you might need high's for this model if going with a 40mm objective.

I picked it up after work from my dealer.  I'm very pleased with the quality.  It did come with the 20" barrel.  The trigger is great.  Here it is as it came out of the box:

Here it is in tacticool configuration with a Bowers Bitty suppressor and 30rd magazine:

Even though I don't yet have a scope, I'm going to shoot it tomorrow just to see how loud it is with and without the suppressor.

So, what ever happened with this test drive?

Also, where did you get that high-cap magazine?

Sorry, I should have provided a follow-up.  It's amazingly quiet with subsonic ammunition and the suppressor.  It's pretty accurate overall as well.  The 30rd magazine came directly from CZ if I remember correctly.
