Moving the rear sight-which way??
« on: May 23, 2020, 09:48:24 PM »
Getting much conflicting info on this question: My new CZ P07 shoots 3" or 4" to the RIGHT, do I move rear sight to the Right? I thought that was correct, as in FORS: Front Opposite Rear Same, please settle this for me, thanks! :-\

Move the rear sight in the direction you want the pattern to move.In your case move it to the left.

You move REAR sight to the direction you want your POI to be changed to.
In your case if your POI is 3" to the right, you want to move POI to the LEFT, so you adjust REAR sight to the LEFT.

Hopefully it's clear...  :o ::) :P

I'd slow fire the gun from a solid rest and verify that the sights are actually off before making any adjustments. Could certainly be the sights but getting the feel of a new gun comes into play as well.

If we are talking about reason for shooting right.... ask RSO to shoot your firearm to confirm the need or adjustment.

I was shooting off rest @ 10yds,

You can still jerk the trigger...
Adjusting sight to correct shooting errors is not a good practice.

Better check it now than reverse everything later...
