Brace adapter options for SBA3
« on: June 12, 2020, 09:19:35 AM »
Recently purchased a Scorpion Evo3 S1 pistol from my local Store with a SBT Evo folding brace. And want to swap out the Evo brace for a SBA3 brace. Just stuck on either fixed or folding adapter to choose. From what ive read, and I could be wrong, wouldn’t need a tax stamp on this brace.

As far as folding adapters I’ve come across the CZ Custom and the Sylvan Arms. Fixed adapters I se CZ Customs, Sylvan arms and KAK.

Anyone have any reviews on the mentioned adapters?

On my Bren 2 I just installed a Matador Arms Sidewinder folding adapter with a SBA3 brace.  The adapter can be used to fold to either the right or left, your choice.  You will need a castle nut to keep the brace stable

I’m going to look into that one as well TurboDang, do you happen to have a picture of this setup?

My setup can be folded to either side, but folding to the left side will make it difficult to pull the charging handle.

Travinh,

Which adapter is this? It looks like it flows well with the gun as well.

The 2 pictures above was taken a year ago. I used the castle nut to cover up the exposed threads of the buffer tube.

Last month, I made a small change. I cut about half an inch off the buffer extension tube, so I don't have to use the castle nut. When the brace is fully collapse, it is no longer show the gap. See the picture below.
