I thought my LCI was tight when new, at 160 rounds it went down range.

well, i tried to unloosen it. so, what i did for "schlitz and giggles", was to put a small piece of black tape over it.

some else had mentioned that "maybe" the newer ones,  had been taken care of at the factory.

i see where mine was built in '20, just no specific day/month code.

That one in the photo is black just in case it doesn't look it.

ok, today was the maiden voyage of my new CZ 97 B

i took 150 rds of ammo.

but only shot off a total of 110 rds.

100 rds, S&B 230 gr...and...10 rds Winchester 230 gr

the only reason for shooting only 110 rds, rather than the full 150 rds, was that i had another semi-automatic, my Glock 17, and between sweeping up my brass (i am collecting as much of my brass now that i can  for reloading in the fall), and time constraints, i wanted time for the GLock.

so the report here is that, the tiny allen screw, that holds down the Loaded  chamber indicator (LCI) never came loose.

it was as tight when i got home, as the first day i got it, and checked it out, under advice from a member here.

i completely stripped the gun, cleaned and lubed it.

i also put a new piece of that black electrical tape, over that set screw again, for the next range visit, maybe next week.

i had a pretty good grouping, i will post a pic later with 20 shots to the target (when i can)

the recoil was very little as compared to all my 9 mm's.

and about as little as the Glock 21 that i will still be buying, when that becomes available.

had a great time, i even let the RSO guy have a little fun with a full mag, he's the one that put me onto the CZ 97B, when i was renting the GLock 21 a couple of weeks ago. . claims he really wants one himself now, as he does not have one, but a 1911 instead.
