CZ black polycoat touchup.
« on: July 16, 2020, 05:56:47 PM »
I just wanted to share this product I found that is a a great match (IMO) for the factory black polycoat finish.  My black 75b had a dent/scratch (to bare metal) that I picked up somewhere, and I tried this nail polish for touchup.  I'm really pleased with the results that are holding up after many range visits and cleanings so far.  The results look better in person than the pics. It's much more durable and matching than Birchwood or a Sharpe.  Anyway, it's Kleancolor nail lacquer in opaque matte finish #265 madly black.

Where did you purchase it?

It was Amazon or Ebay.

This is good info.  I had to send in my P-01 for warranty work and it came back with a scratch near the takedown lever.  Thanks for posting this.

Looks good enough. I wonder how well it would match up for holster wear.

Good to know. I have a small scratch I was trying to cover, but could not find a paint that would last. I will try this out.

I started this thread, and my CZ75 still looks fine. I don't carry it, and I usually take it to the range twice a year.
