Is this machining quality normal on a CZ redhead target?
« on: July 19, 2020, 05:01:03 PM »
Hey,

Let me preface this with I'm pretty OCD with my guns, especially brand new ones. So far all my new cz pistols have been flawless. I just purchased a CZ redhead target. Inside the receiver, there are pretty heavy tooling marks you can see in the picture. You can noticeably feel the scratches and it's uneven in thickness through out but especially the back third is a little more raised. I know cz has amazing support, but I don't want them to laugh at me for thinking it's a big deal and just send it back. It is a brand new $1,300 firearm so I expected a little better. The outside is perfectly flat, so what gives with the inside? Let me know if this seems normal for their less than stellar Turkish shotguns.

Humm seem to have trouble figuring out how to add a photo..

Thanks guys!

Sorry I have no experience with the Shotguns.

For direct link pictures I use the following

url= https://img.imageupload.net/2020/07/19/20200716_182212.jpg
img width=640] https://img.imageupload.net/2020/07/19/20200716_182212.jpg [/img
/url

You will want to add [ at beginning of each line and ] at end of each of those 3 lines above - if I add them it just adds another picture - only way I could think to type it for u
16 CZs and counting

Great, thanks for explaining that and posting my picture! Even with no having shotgun experience, would you personally be satisfied with that machine work where metal on metal contact constantly happens as it's an over under that breaks open?

It's a little rough. Compared to a comparably priced Browning for example I don't blame you for being dissatisfied with it.

I'd contact CZ even though they are likely to take the position it's merely a cosmetic concern... which it probably is.

For $1300 I’d be pissed off. That’s just me though.
