I spend enough time weeding out the riff-raff and moving posts that people are too lazy or too clueless to post in the right forums as it is.

And that's why admire people like you and appreciate their work !

I’m just here to see if the guy ever comes back to look at his own thread. I’m guessing it really wasn’t that important.

I involved in about [8] forums. I join these to gain knowledge I am lacking.
I am kind of a dabbler in a number of areas, and master in none.
I normally only post when I feel I can legitimately contribute. Hence my response to the above quote.
This is a personal thing with me; “add a photo”, “nice photo”, etc are not things I normally do.
Example - I joined IceShanty forum Sep 29, 2007, 06:33 PM. To date, I am an IceShanty Rookie with 60 posts.
I tend to visit this forum 3-5 times a week.
I joined The Original CZ Forum to purchase a CZ83 .32ACP from a forum member.
He had a fair price for a hard to get model, and from other CZ82 & CZ83 CLUB photos, I am genuinely satisfied.

fwiw,  there no rule that says anyone must contribute.

im sure there are many people that just lurk, read, learn and be amused.

but do what floats your boat too.

I’m setting his over/under for 25 posts at October 12th. Who wants in on the action?

1)  Don’t start to place bets. The member I was trying to PM was DenStinett. I found he had posted his email a while back, and we have communicated directly. Any “hurry” for PM activation has faded.

2)  I’m no different from others, and appreciate compliments.

The CZ 83 was a European surplus LEO pistol in a Good condition. It was never going to be a “safe queen”.
My daughter thought it was yucky, and didn’t want to hold it.
I decided on an economical, standard grade bluing. I was very pleased with the work of Greg Paulman at American Bluing & Guns.
The CZ OEM wood panel grip inserts are really beautiful. They are very thin though.
A number of members complained about “cracking” when firing the pistol.
One member glued his back together with cyanoacrylate glue – “looked ugly, but worked”.
In my CA glue research, I uncovered that hobbyists who make wooden pens/pencils use it to strengthen and finish coat there items.
So the insert's fronts and backs are finished with it. I personally like the end result.
The daughter has overcome yucky phobia.

I'm 72 and paranoid about going out; so I've been home since the beginning of March. This week was beyond nerve racking. I had a delayed reaction to my flu shot. My medical provider performed a COVID-19 test. My NEGATIVE results came this morning. So no shooting recently. I put [1] box thru it when I first got it, just to fire it. Nothing spectacular, it was service pistol and I was less than steady.

I'm glad you like it. The finish was an unexpected surprise to me. It's like the bluing and insert hue were made for each other. I used a CA glue called Starbond EM-02. It's specific gravity was just above water, so it soaked in. Hint: If you're thinking of using this product, it's cure can be accelerated with the moisture from your fingers. USE the blue nitrile gloves, and apply with fingers in multiple light coats. I did not sand for fear of damaging the checkering/logo.
