I've been looking more and more at purchasing an AR pistol. I'm EXTREMELY interested in the Kriss Vector pistol though. Does anybody have one that can give me some honest view points about it? I'd also like to hear suggestions for other AR pistols as well. I'm only interested in quality and reliability with aesthetics being a very close 3rd...

What cartridge(s) are you considering? I'd lean towards with an AR platform for rifle calibers and a Sub machinegun platform for pistol calibers. I admit I'm biased, I like the Beretta CX4 for semiauto pistol caliber carbines. I've tried a bunch, always end up staying with the CX4. Love lever guns for revolver cartridges.

The CX4 is cheap but good lord it’s ugly.

I shot this thing once. Tacticool factor is high, it's reasonably accurate at 25m with a dot sight. I would be worried about spare parts/tuning etc.

Going with an AR15 pistol allows you to add just about any kind of "cool" options/parts you want.

Super nice triggers.

Super accurate barrels.

Super light weight free float tubes (that also keep your hands away from that hot barrel).

Optics of any kind.

Sling attachments for any type of sling anywhere on the pistol.

Any kind of grips you want. 

Any kind of stock you want (fixed/collapsable/cheap/expensive)

Colors?  What color do you want?  All the stocks/grips come in different colors.  Getting the uppers/lowers/free float tube from the manufacturer already cerakoted or having it done before the build is easy.

Anything you want, just about, for an AR15 pistol.

Have fun looking, choosing, buying, putting it together - the way you want it to look/operate.  Tinker toys for adults.  My wife used to say I acted/sounded like a kid with a new toy when new parts came in and I was getting them out of the package and starting to work on installing them.

I have an AR pistol in 5.56 with a 7.5" barrel, SB brace and a micro KAK flash hider in it, dressed up in FDE accents.  Any AR pistol needs a KAK can, suppressor or similar as opposed to a standard birdcage.  The muzzle blast is tremendous and you would never want to fire it in a closed environment like a home.  Even people in the next stall at the range don['t like it. 

My 300 BLK has a 10" barrel and is dressed in basic black with a KAK can.  The real benefit is the ability to shoot sub-sonic or full power loads from the same gun.  The thirty round capacity is also  one of the features that I desired for an apocalyptic event. 

Both of mine have 3.5# drop in single stage triggers and the 300 BLK has a TRUGLO Light/Laser under mount.  I load for both calibers and use 5.56 brass to cut and form for the 300 BLK.   Let us know what you settle on.  Regarding brand names in the AR platform, I never put much stock in paying for the bragging rights.  A milspec firearm will do anything that the others will IMO.

I really like the Tactical Skeleton 300 Blackout Takedown but it’s pricey, for me. I’m strongly considering a build from Radical Firearms out of Stafford, Texas. There reviews seem good so far, prices seem really good for the quality of their parts and they’re only about 1.5 hours from me. I’m gettin that excited feeling in my tummy like the first time I jumped a truck over railroad tracks.

If you're decided on the 300Blk is hard to top an AR platform. Radical makes some good stuff. If it were me, I'd build my own lower then find the upper with the features I like.

There’s a local guy selling a Radical in 300 blk with a 10.5” barrel. It has all the gadgets you can name on it already, it’s only a couple weeks old and he’s only asking $1600 but would take less if I show the green. He says he’s selling it because he wants to get a 5.56 instead. Also it comes with 4x 30 round magazines, four boxes of ammo, and a nice soft carrying case.

So I went and looked at that Radical Firearms RF-15 300 Blackout I last mentioned. Keep in mind I'm a pistol guy and have only elementary level knowledge about AR's in general. I've only shot a couple and I've been doing just a little internet diggin. The guy said it was only 3 weeks old and he only put 60 rounds through it to sight it in. Then he said it just wasn't for him. Said he paid $1800 for everything you see in the pics, was asking $1700, and I ended up buying all of it for $1450. It came with a decent carry bag/backpack, a budget Red/Green dot, a budget green laser, a decent magnifier, 3 PMAGs, 1 steel mag, 100 rounds of ammo, a sling, a cheap flashlight(dead batteries) with an ok mount, a decent arm brace, and an odd muzzle brake thingy I've never seen before. I'll definitely be ditching the laser and cheap flashlight, swapping in a new muzzle brake, and installing a binary trigger from Franklin Armory (because why the heck not?!). I'm interested in hearing some honest feedback so don't hold back.

That "odd muzzle brake thingy" is your friend, flash cans help push muzzle blast and noise away from the shooter. Try a more conventional muzzle break, but I strongly suggest shooting with the flash can first. The SBA3 is a good brace, you'll probably be happy with it. I'm not sure about the magnifier on a short barreled pistol. The sight is a fairly good starter model, you may want to upgrade over time. The light looks like a Target Sports Tactical, branded light I keep in my tool bag. They're decent flash lights and stand up to some abuse, only OK as a weapon mounted light. The light sometimes to goes into strobe mode under recoil.  The light is better made than the mount that comes with it. I'd go with something like CMC 3 pound trigger instead of the  binary, but that's me. Clearing the hand guard of the light and laser will probably allow you to get a more solid grip and make more accurate shots.

Be prepared to see a major shifts in point of impact depending on bullet weight and velocity.
