Posting Polls?

How do you do it?

I tried to post a poll on the Bren 2 forum and it didn't take, not sure why.

Why not have a knowledgeable mod post a “how to” for us luddites, like “how to post images”?

I don’t want to have to go through that again only to have all my work evaporate into nothing. It was actually relevant to widespread problems with the Bren 2.

As to why you are having problems, I have no idea, but I would guess the obvious reason is you're missing one of the options such as length of time to run the poll, or how many answers to allow members to choose. There aren't that many fields to complete, after all. In the words of Lone Watie: 'Endeavor to persevere'. I'm sure you'll get it.


Copping an attitude about someone's post is unlikely to motivate them to assist.

There is no "add poll" on the CZ Bren forum next to "reply" that I see. There's "new poll" up at the top, which I clicked and filled in my material and then "post" at the bottom, which I clicked, at which point all my posted material disappeared. It SEEMED fairly straightforward, but apparently, it is not.

You try it: go to the CZ Bren forum and then to the "Bren 2 9" FTE/Stovepipe issues" topic (which is relevant to my poll) and see if you can get the polling to work. I don't see any "add poll" choice.

Nope.

Not getting the “add poll” option anywhere on the CZ Bren forum. Not on my version of this board. Maybe you’ve got something different. I get it over here in General Discussions but not over there where I need it.

A tutorial would be in order and maybe a moderator with the patience to do that...

OK, so I posted a poll in the general file, as you can see above at the top of this thread (followed your instructions, but of course, here on the general forum there is a "add poll" option which does not exist on the Bren 2 forum).

Maybe your IT person can rectify this on the Bren 2 forum and possubly move this poll over to the Bren 2 forum, as well.

The answer is obvious. The Pols and the Czechs haven't always been compatible.
