I got to carry, shoot and take care of TRW 1490317 for almost 4 years in the US Army back in the mid to late 70's.  I sure would have loved to have been able to take it with me when I left.  Great rifle.

To this day I refuse to look at pictures of the M14's Clinton had chopped up or the receiver halves they sell at gun shows.  It would break my heart to find that serial number on a useless hunk of metal.

Take care of that rifle.  You can't shoot them enough to wear them out (maybe the barrel, if you're a match shooter and good enough to notice the groups opening up after a few thousand rounds.)
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

Beautiful rifle. We had a company donate some stocks like that to our snipers while in Iraq. I love my Socom16 and will never let it go.
