Both 5.56 and 10mm are cheaper than 9mm Luger right now from my vantage point. If I wasn’t shooting in an indoor range, the AR would be getting a lot more love.

I just can’t resist anymore. I’m gonna install the Franklin Armory binary trigger on my AR pistol this week and off-gas some 300 blackout.  O0

Don’t feel bad. I wasn’t paying attention and paid too much for steel case 9mm too one day.

Barnaul, 500 rounds. Didn’t know it had some steel in the core which is not allowed in most indoor ranges in NJ

Part of it is that many indoor ranges prohibit picking up brass, and collect and resell it themselves -- and don't want to have to pick out steel cases.

I stopped at a gun shop today that had a box of WWB 9mm, 100rds. The box had been opened but seemed full. The top flap was torn, but they still wanted $60. for the box.
I've found that growing up in the sixties was a lot more fun than being in my sixties.

Yea, that would just make me mad and walk out  >:(

I am glad I stocked up before Covid. I am just shooting my .22LR rounds and biding my time.

Yes sir this was my first panic buy and...No sir, I don't like it. ;D Fortunately I was able to get everything I felt I needed. I won't be caught off guard again if I can help it.

I can't speak for the GCA era of the late 60's and the 80's really were nothing to speak of that I recall but even the crime bill/AWB era in 1994 wasn't anything like we've seen since the turn of the century. High cap mags became scarce in the 90's as they were banned so what had been massively produced before the ban were not always easily found and when you did you paid dearly for them. Reloading components were still easily acquired and primers even then averaged $10-$15 per thousand in my area. After 911 ammo prices went up some naturally but I never thought it was that bad. The Obama era is where things went off the rails and shortages appeared across the board especially ammo and reloading supplies. What we see today is the WORST it has ever been bar none. There are some guns to be had here in Northeast Ohio but ammo is scarce and most places limit purchases of what they have. Forget reloading supplies, I haven't seen small pistol or rifle primers in over 2 months. The local range I frequent will not sell handgun ammo to go at all now and will only sell it to a customer who plans to use the range in that moment. Prices even when they increased were never even close to as outrageous as they are now.
I'm very happy everytime I look at my ammo supply that I started reloading decades ago.

I heard a guy stacked ammo so high once that it tipped over and fell on him. His last words were "this is the way".  8)
Will work for CZ pics! (including but not limited to all CZ clones)

Academy is the only place I’ve managed to find it under $20 a box. But you gotta darn near camp out to get it.
