Honestly for me at least, the most I'll usually do for a trigger job is just a lighter hammer spring that doesn't compromise primer ignition and a bit of polishing on the hammer hooks and the top of the hammer strut. But that is just me.

Best factory DA/SA that I have experienced that I own would be not truly factory. My Elite LTT that came from LTT with thier trigger job is amazing. Pure factory would be my SP-01 tactical. It really smoothed out after a couple hundred rounds.

I’ve heard more than once that the CZ-82 has the best SA/DA factory trigger.

Mine is also. It is what prompted me to work on my CZs. I wanted the CZs to feel like the Legion out of the box.

That’s an interesting question, but too open to interpretation. A “factory” gun can be Hohum or great depending on the model. CZ is a perfect example; the basic 75B trigger is Hohum. Add some TLC; better. Add some parts; great. This is what the top of the line CZ models are, upgraded 75B triggers. They are still classified as standard production pistol. A lot of manufactures do this. It’s one of the reasons CZs are so popular IMO. The average shooter with a mechanical inclination can turn their gun into an great shooter without the big upfront cost.

The question needs to be price adjusted: In this price range what trigger is best? Of course then you get into value and best bang for the buck. Then there is the out of the box vs after a few hundred rounds. CZ can be rough right from the factory and are usually much better after some use. So which one is the standard? I’ve had some CZ clones that were very good out of the box., better than CZs.

I’m not an expert on Sig nomenclature but isn’t the Legion model the factory upgraded version of a Base model?

From what I have read, the Shadow and Shadow Orange CZ-75's, Legion Sigs, Langdon Tactical Beretta 92's and PX4's and Wilson Combat Beretta 92's have the best DA/SA triggers out of the box. Particularly if you have the Langdon Trigger Job/Trigger Job in A Bag on the Beretta 92/PX4.

With standard model production pistols, one of the features the manufacturers are trying to make happen on a gun is reliable ignition of ammunition. There's also might be liability with trigger pulls; therefore some manufactures think that a heavier trigger might result in less negligent discharges.

My favorite is West German P228 vintage 1990-1995. SA is so clean that I can shoot bullseye with it.

AZ_CZ, The Legion is a dressed up version of the 229. Color choice/coating type, Gray Guns trigger, short reset, X-ray sights (Sig's name), G-10 w/logo, and similar things done by all manufacturers. I got lucky with price on mine. I suppose due to .357Sig version.

The best trigger for the money in my little group of guns is my Walther PPX. $279.00 from CDNN and it is pretty darned good out of the box. The thing shoots as well as anything I own, but is finicky on ammo. Fun range toy.

For me, the Grand Power I used to have was easily the best factory stock DA/SA. After that any of the various Berettas between the 92, 96, and 8000 series.

DA/SA triggers have allot of different aspects that one may like or dislike. Which specific aspects are we talking about?

I do not spend time an effort while working on CZs. I have fun tinkering, it is a timeless effortless endeavor.  :)
Will work for CZ pics! (including but not limited to all CZ clones)

i would have to say some of the older Colts and S&W had some really nice triggers.

Dont forget that by working the trigger/parts, you are more or less shortening the useful life of those parts.

It's also worth pointing out that, while my SP-01 and PCR may not have had quite as refined triggers out of the box as some of the higher end examples we've been mentioning, I only paid <$600 for each of those CZs, and maybe put a couple hundred into them at most, and they now have really nice triggers after a few simple upgrades and a bunch of use. That's still a lot less $$ in the end than a Legion, Shadow or an LTT 92. So I still think that, while you may need to put a little time and cash into them, depending on your tastes, CZs are still a really good bargain for a rock-solid, time-tested pistol.
