CZ82 magazine release parts needed
« on: October 04, 2020, 10:40:09 PM »
One of my CZ82s will only release the magazine when pressed from the right side.
When pushed from the left side, it does not reliably release the mags.
I'm a lefty who uses my middle finger to drop the mags, due to short thumbs.
Does anyone have a source for a magazine release button and/or magazine release assembly?

TIA

Forum member dtomp found this supplier.
Jiri @ gate2003@seznam.cz
I wanted a full spring kit (9pcs) - $29.00 delivered.
He even has a magazine spring, if you need it.

A worn Magazine Catch Push Button (part number 43) has usually been the problem for my CZ82/83 mag release issues.  The curved 'V' just gets worn out, I think.  I have spent lots of time trying to gently file and smooth the edges of the ambidextrous Push Button and different mag release parts to no avail.  Replacing the Magazine Catch Push Button usually has made things right.

A new magazine catch spring #45 fixed my CZ 83, but getting the #42 slide stop spring back in place was impossible for me, not having any punches, so I took it to a gunsmith for re-assembly.
