Another good day with the .22LR CZ MTR rifle at 100 yards
« on: October 14, 2020, 05:24:32 PM »
The rifle is consistent, predictable, well built, and accurate.  All good.
Only changes since last Friday are a pivoting version of the Harris bipod, and a few patches down the bore.  I missed Tuesday and shot the 9mm P-07 instead.  That worked out well also.
Here is a two minute video of the two best targets of the 18 (five shot) from today.

I still need to work on my hold and trigger pull.  The yellow dots on brown paper worked well, as did the red dots on yellow paper.  My reticle is black.

I posted the last video over on Rimfire Central.  Golly, a lot of people are video starved over there!  Lots of CZ fans there, too.  Now I understand why.

Thanks, gentlemen.  Videos are limited sometimes by how many folks are waiting to use my lane and how much time I have to set up.  I'd love to be able to do picture in picture with me shooting and the target together, but I just can't at this little local range very often.  I don't really want to use any more time up than I am entitled to.  So I get 80% there with just the target camera alone, I think.

Congrats Joe on the new CZ rifle. Enjoy it.
May I suggest to get a single shot adapter instead of the magazine for it? It often produce the best groups.
Also if your conditions allow, try to shot it prone instead of off the bench. I shot CZ rimfires on 200m and results are very satisfying. Try it one day.
Ammo selection is good. SK Stnd+, Rifle Match as well as Wolf branded variants of the same ammo are reliable choice. If you can get RWS Rifle match, try it also. In some of my CZ rifles it shoots even better.

Boris--new CZ single shot magazine adapter on its way.  That will slow me down some, which is also a good thing.  Also, another 1k rounds of SK Rifle Match.  Also a visit to an opthomologist to get a little laser work done on my shooting eye.
