CZ 75 Nickel
« on: November 03, 2020, 11:33:08 AM »
Hello, I have come across a CZ 75 in matte Nickel finish. I am not able to find any information on these pistols as to when they were made and if they are discontinued. Can anyone tell me when these were made?

Yes they are a bit rare and were discontinued mid 2000’s I believe.

Thanks for the reply, mid 2000's you would think there would be information on the CZ website, they list lots of discontinued pistols but not the Nickel 75

I've only seen one in person, a CZ75 Compact.  Seen lots of CZ's at gun shows, but just that one satin nickel CZ.

I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

is this a CZ 75 (aka pre-B) or a CZ 75B?

I've seen satin nickel pre-B pistols (most likely surplus from Israel), but I've never personally seen a satin nickel 75B

either way, nickel CZs look good

Mine is a 75 compact, not a 75B. Not sure if surplus or not, it has box with paperwork and test target. I bought it from a individual as new.

the year of manufacture is on the other side of the slide - it is either in a depression behind the extractor (older) or before the [Lion-N] proofmark which precedes the serial number.

great looking compact

We (wife and I) think the satin nickel frames are slick.  Slick feeling.  I put skateboard tape on the front strap of the grip for her till we got the new CZ soft rubber grips.  Got a P01 that had them so we knew they improved the "grippiness" of the smaller pistols.  Put a set on the frame of the satin nickel Compact and that let me get that rough tape off the frame.

Question about the OP's Compact.  Does it have a "standard" recoil spring (either flat wire or round wire) or is it a multiple strand wire recoil spring?  The one I bought had that odd recoil spring (kind of like those found on AKs) and some odd snap caps in the box.  The snap caps have replaceable inserts for the firing pin impact.  Came with a small bag of those.
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

Eastman, I just came across a Pre-B surplus from Israel that looks like a satin nickel, but I am not sure if it is a refinish.  Are there any telltale signs you look for on an original versus refinish?

Thanks
