P 07 sights
« on: November 07, 2020, 02:53:48 PM »
I have Dawson Trijicon night sights and they are too small for me to to quickly pick them up. Does anyone have other suggestions? I was looking at Xs sights but I have no experience with them. Any help?

I just put a set of XS F8 sights on my Beretta M9A3. They come right up for me and they are awesome.I like them so much so that I ordered a second set to put on another M9A3 slide that I have and use that slide on my 92FS.

Thanks. I am also considering Dawson fiber optic front and black or FO rear. I do not really need the tritium. I did see that the Xs Big dot has some reports about accuracy due to the size if the dot and the line rather than the notch on the rear. Like any other sight, I would expect that once you know where the gun shoots you can adjust your sight picture accordingly to hit the target. I primarily shoot paper at the club and some pistol competition steel and paper and not group type precision. I do like the looks of the big dot.

XS makes excellent sights. The big dot does not cause accuracy issues if you learn how to use them. They are an aquired taste though. I used to use them and moved away. If you are not needing tritium, then I would go FO front.

Look no further than tritium pro sights. Best bold front sight available and subdued rear serrated tritium. From tru glo.  Sorry I goofed. I don’t think they have them for the p series yet.

Tonight I installed fiber optic front and rear from Dawson Precision. The sight picture looks good.

Anyone try the Truglo TFX Pro sights? They combine tritium and fiber optic for what's advertised as a best of both worlds approach.

Not on a P-07, but I have them on 1911s. They aren't as bright as tritium-only night sights in low light conditions, but the fiber optic is excellent outside.

I second night fision- have a set on my P10c and the front sight does jump out for me.  Given my eyesight and preferences ( muted rear sight, bold front) night fision works well for me.

Give it some consideration

This is what I have

And another vote for Night Fision. I have their orange front sight on my P-07 and P-10C and they are very fast to acquire. The one on my P-07 has been on there for well over a year and held up well.

Yes. My absolute favorite sights. I have them on a bunch of my guns including my PCR and 75B.  If they make them for a P07, I say get 'em.
