P01 small size makes a difference. Have 75’s 85c’ 97. Sp01 ..all shoot great . Got a sp01 and it shot great at 7 yards .anything farther than that was bad. Hated thr small grip and the light weight was way to snappy than a steel gun.sold it immediately and got a shadow 2. Way better.!

Sold a P01 for a Shadow 2?  They're kinda made for very different purposes, eh?

I have a shadow 2 and really like it.  I recently jailed a P01 as well because it felt great in my hand and how much I like the shadow 2.

I'm really not sure what to expect from the P01 though.  Many people love it and say it's literally the best gun ever made.  Others say it's light but stiff aluminum frame make it snappier than the P07 and unpleasant to shoot.   I'm really curious which camp I'll fall in.

Honest outlaw did a 1000 review saying he really likes it and is keeping it, but that it is indeed snappier than the P07.  His full comparison to the P07 was held out and is coming in a later video.

I'd shoot the gun from a solid rest and see how it groups up. I have shot and carried my PCR (same as P-01 without rail) for 11 years now and pushing 20,000 rnds fired and it has always been nothing less than stellar both in reliability and accuracy. Hands down the best all around handgun I've ever owned and I've owned hundreds over the years.

What about the barrel play within the bushing? The recoil spring is supposed to hold the barrel against the bottom of the bushing. When you push the barrel up towards the top of the bushing, is there much play? There's supposed to be some play, but I'm not sure how much. Or would it even matter in this case?

The barrel is free floating so to speak much like a 1911 on these pistols and not held down by the recoil spring that is why a good fitting bushing is important and also the reason CGW makes the 10x replacement bushings for them.  Yes the slop at the end could be excessive but it would need to be very bad to provide the poor accuracy the OP speaks of.

Have you had someone else fire your P01? See if they get the same results. That may narrow down the issue being the gun, or you.

Thank you everyone for all the replies. I finally made it back out to the range today and can report much better results. At approximately 20 yards I was putting most of my rounds in a 5- 6 inch circle and im very happy with that.  I believe once I get rid of this God awful curved trigger and a little more time, it'll all come together.  Any recommendations on a trigger pull reduction kit?
On a separate note, two of my scorpion mags broke. I'm not too happy about that.... I'll search the Scorpion section on that topic.

No I have not... good idea, I think its fine though. I believe I just needed more practice and the realization that I hate this trigger and it's got to go.

Give a call to Cajun Gun Works and they will advise on the trigger, springs, and other parts you may want. I followed their recommendations for my Shadow 2 and P-01 and am happy. Bob

^^^^^This  X2. It is absolutely amazing what CGW does with a pistol. If you are brave and have some mechanical ability, you may want to order their legal kit and install it yourself. This is what I did, and loved the results. Just make sure to perform a proper polish while you have everything apart.

I'm coming down on the side of the firearm at fault. I think he said he put 600rds thru it and still not printing well? Without fail, EVERY single person into who's hands I've put a CZ has shot well with it. Newbies to experienced pistoleers. It's one reason I love the things! I'd send it to CZ.

have a P 01 from CGW with 10X bushing and 11° barrel crown. and had FO front sight with black EZ D rear sight. shot in a bunch of matches and was so so. the sights bothered me because too much real estate included with front sight picture. went on quest for replacement sights for weeks, youhole, intertube. finally found new night sights at CZC which required milling slide. the lamps are Trijicon.  everything improved. gun transformed from good to excellent. tested sights with 12” plate up to 30-35 yards without problem. 40 yards doable but more difficult. next test will include the 8” plate which is the size used in PSGC match. each gun requires some adjustment but it is enjoyable. have CZ 75 SP-01 Shadow with Competition iron sights and most fun to shoot. set up retired Glock 34 with C-More 8 MOA red dot and not same thrill as CZ irons. Shadow is from CZC with CGW 10X and 11° crown.

Have someone else shoot a gun before sending it off. It’s almost always the shooter. Switching platform styles makes for a period of transition for many. Find a way to sandbag it and you will start to see the accuracy potential and limit self induced errors and rule out an actual gun problem which is unlikely.

CZ stick sights suck. There are thankfully many more choices than there used to be. It used to be nearly a custom job to get sights to replace the stock. Now you have nearly all options available. I really like the TFX Pros. They aren’t great for long range precision though because the front is wide. The thinnest width Dawson FO front is pretty hard to beat. You can keep stock rear and just put in the 5.5 mm standard height Dawson for like 30 bucks. Realize everybody measures the front sight differently. Some from top to bottom, some just from the slide up. Call Dawson they can help if you get confused. But get thinnest front available.
