RAMI with a Rail
« on: November 19, 2020, 05:53:01 PM »
I saw this the other day - Guy did a nice job

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f6xjG3a8u18

Of course, Now I gotta get another holster.  No One makes a holster for a Gun / Light that was never intended to have one.  The BIG reason I want the rail is for the MantisX Trainer I just got as a gift.  You can either install it on a rail or a VERY flat spot on the Mag Base Plate (RAMI doesn't have THAT either)
Would anyone know of more common Holster (Glock, M&P, Etc) that WOULD be available for a WML and fit the RAMI safely?  I've read all the 'the Fobus XX fits perfectly' threads but I'm just asking - maybe someone else did this mod (I also sent my RAMI to CGW to have the slide milled for a Vortex RDS - They did a fantastic job too - as usual).
My RAMI is my EDC and I want to practice with the MantisX - but I need a holster that will let me mount the sensor (or a light) - Or, am I just Crazy and making extra work for myself?
Thanks for any help - I know this is very unusual and wasn't sure if I should put the question here or in 'holsters'

I’m not a RAMI guy but that is true ingenuity right there. I love seeing things like this. Wish I could help you with the holster dilemma though.

I just created the account lol. A gunsmith that specializes in CZ in a CZ forum might never have time to live their life from constant brousing lol.

This is fun.  Loads of respect for a smart Gunsmith.  Still looking for a Surrogate Holster though.  Maybe it Ain't possible? But that's why I'm asking.

I wonder if Vedder or Pyntek may be willing to do a one-off?

It will be a little long, but perhaps a holster for the P01 with a light would work? The frames are approx. the same width.

If you carry appendix and use an X300U or TLR-1, then the Phlster Floodlight IWB should work as it locks on the light rather than the gun.  That holster may be a bit bulky for such a small gun, though.  I have Floodlight IWB and OWB holsters and have used both with multiple guns.

Looks good!! One of my few gripes about the Rami is the lack of a rail!

Metal - I do have a TRL-1 and will look into that suggestion - THANK YOU!
Again, My main goal is the MantisX Trainer.  Having a RAMI with an Optic AND a Light at AIWB 12:00 is asking a lot from my belt and my belly.
I'm sure there are people that will do a One Off - Called Vedder, Not Interested.  There's a LOT of Kydex Benders out there anymore - some are quite talented too.
Cgoldsberry, Who are you 'in line' waiting for?  I'm the same guy that asked you questions on your YT Post (33Willys...).  You seem to have your finger on it - why re-invent the wheel - AGAIN?!

Bookmarking this for future reference. Would be good to have for a dry fire practice phone app thing as well.

I'm sorry, I never saw this. I'm in line with Bitterroot Gun Leather in Montana. Dinnerbell Gun Leather is their quick ship, Bitterroot the custom side. They make amazing holsters.

Cgoldsberry-
A bit pricey but I'm sure they are worth it.  They are BEAUTIFUL!!!
I'll  give it a shot.
I did end up putting a flat Mag Base from my PCR (you know, the Sharp one)  on my RAMI mag and am using that for DF training with the Mantis.  Works OK but I'd really like it on the rail.
