Help me understand my magazine release options for my new SP01 TAC:
1) Factory (10061)
2) Factory Extended (10060)
3) CZ Shadow 2 (10374)

Does the SP01 TACTICAL come with the Factory Extended (10060) or standard (10061)?

For SD/HD use, i leave the standard factory Mag Release installed. While extending the Mag Release can make it easier to depress, it can also increase the potential that you inadvertently drop your Magazine.

For a range or competition configuration, they make more sense to me.

I have small hands and do not want to have to manipulate my grip to release a magazine. I plan to change Factory grips & 85C trigger and reduction by CGW. Any further suggested modifications, I am all ears!

I put the extended mag release on every CZ I own, even my EDC PCR.  Yet to hit it via accident from shooting, holstering, or carrying.

If you have small hands I would recommend trying thinner grips before going through the trouble of changing the magazine release. VZ or Lok are great options if you want to go the G10 route (my preference based on the texture they provide) there are plenty of thin aluminum grip options as well.

This is good advice. I'd change grips first and see how that affects reach. Depending on hand size, the oem extended release may not help, as it only sits higher. The S2 release reaches backward which may be of more help for small hands.

SP01 TACTICAL comes from the Factory With standard release. Shadow comes with extended release and shadow 2 comes with paddle release.

have SP01 that is dedicated range/race gun and the S2 mag release is well worth the money and easy to install. It feels better than expected. It has a small thumb divot in the textured face (concave) that you can see in pics. Before I had to slightly change grip, now its just there. They will go on all my modded range guns from now on.

For carry I'd stick to stock.
