I swapped out the safety to the ledge safety and noticed that it’s very light and with barely an audible click is this normal?

Did you reinstall the spring and detent?

Install a DS Perman safety spring for a more positive engagement.

I have had great experience with the DS Perman springs although they require a bit of break in, in my experience.

Regarding the original question maybe the original spring was damaged during install or is worn out? I have issues with my P01 Omega safety springs + detents wearing out but have not heard of similar issues with Shadow 2s.

Where did you get the new safety? My S2 Orange has a huge safety on it that blocks access to the slide release, so interested in something more compact.
