Laser Sights for 2075 RAMI and 97B
« on: August 24, 2020, 01:03:10 PM »
Hi, everyone. I am new here and glad that I found this site. I have a 2075 RAMI and 97B, getting ready to take my CCW here in California. Is anyone aware of ANY laser sight options for either of these? My eyes aren't what they used to be and, so far, I have not been able to find any options. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thank you!

I don't know what you could possibly find for the RAMI, but you can have your 97B milled for a picatinny rail by CGW which will provide you a lot of different options for lights and lasers.

Can't say one brand is more reliable than another.

I do read that green is easier for most people to see under all conditions than red.

I also read that you want a laser that doesn't require you to find and push the button when maybe you need to be shooting.  Some lasers are set up like most lights, push the button one way or the other to turn it on and off.  Some lasers are set up so that when you grab the pistol grip the laser comes on.  Put it back in the holster, or in your pocket and the laser turns off.

I've thought about a laser for my big old XD .45, just haven't spent money to buy/try.
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

Like I was saying in the Rami forum, I think I would have CGW or CZ Custom install a red dot optic on a Rami rather than try to make-fit a laser on it. I think somebody (Stagecraft?) had one on there, but it was a generic unit on a length of Weaver rail that was screwed on to the (thin) front dust cover, having been drilled & tapped. Looked like it was somewhat fragile and difficult to activate, not like the grip activated laser grips, etc. made by Crimson Trace specific to certain pistol models (none for CZ anymore).

At any rate, at this point in time, I'm thinking the new miniaturized red dot optics have pretty much superseded lasers on pistols, or will soon.

I just purchased the 2075 Rami BD. I own Sig P238 and P938 both equipped with Crimson Trace trigger grip in green lasers. I'm checking with CT if they have a similar model compatible to this weapon. I will report back.

If you can mount a Viridian, I have one of their x5l green lasers and it is awesome. Daylight the laser is visible pretty far out, and at night the entire beam is visible and is so bright it almost doubles as a light
