Hows everyone slinging their Scorpion carbine?
« on: December 13, 2020, 09:11:50 PM »
Been looking at the Vickers sling from Blue Force Gear.  Thought I'd ask here and see what others are using before I decide. Probably go with the Parker Mountain QD attachments. pics of you're slings and attachment points would be appreciated.

This is an older pic of my Scorpion, my setup has changed a little but my sling and sling attachment points hasn't. I use Parker Mountain Machine sling mounts and a Vtac Hybrid sling in black multicam. Works very well, just make sure you order the non rotational sling mounts.

Very nice thank you! Why the non rotational  mounts and not the rotating mounts?

They stay in the position you put your QD swivel in and don't spin around. I had the rotating type and changed them out.  Sometimes the rear swivel would spin around and twist the sling up when you go from a "carry" position to shouldering it. The rear mount and swivel are also pretty close to your face when you have the proper cheek weld, you want it to stay either with the sling straight back or slightly canted down in the rear.

I use the PMM 360 mounts and haven't had any issues.

Well I'd share the way I invented a sling that can conceal carry and regular carry also. Think many may want to make one also and try it out. Just can't figure out how to post an image here lol

Ok think I may have figured it out lol. Here's the best way I've found to sling her up. It's homemade tho. But lightweight... won't scuff up ya scorpion.. can even crossdraw conceal it. Then adjust strap to let slack in and standard carry it. Even included a buckle to quick release it in case I have it under a jacket etc and want to pop it out faster

This works best with Gen 1 models 2ith the weird plastic loop on reciever. But if ya ground it off already or have a Gen 2 paranoid can be used to attach to the rear metal loops I'm sure. Hit me up for better photos if interested. Here it is at low ready with same sling

Nice rig bud. She's pretty. Haven't done much with mine yet. Been focused more on getting more guns instead too much lol. Where ya get that mag release? Haven't seen that one yet. I need one like that.. and the safeties like yours also lol. Lots more in fact lol. People here warn about slinging there on that rear tab tho. They say it can break the plastic. I did get a 1913 style pic rail adapter for mine tho. And it has a nicely placed QD socket on bottom of it that puts the weight onto a stronger part of the pistol. I plan to put 1913's on all my setups so I can share braces on them all soon. I'll show ya tho just so others know also

I sling mine like this when I use it.   For practice and IDPA I don't need a sling.   In two gun comps I'll use it to sling the PCC when I switch to a pistol

Very nice rig. Looks like ya can sneak in an extra QD point on that stock in that m-lock looking hole on it also if ya wanted.. I'm only about half way done outfitting mine. I keep buying more guns and getting sidetracked lol. Even seen some c75 grips for the evo I want but they're like hens teeth to try and get lol

We made a very simple, cost-effective solution to the sling mounting issue...

[Mods Added: That's great but per the rules you didn't bother to read, you don't get to advertise here for free.]
