Bul shooting
« on: December 27, 2020, 04:40:30 PM »
I took the new Bul Cherokee out to the range today. I usually shoot there in the morning. Today I went at 2pm. This time of year the sun is right behind the targets and right in my eyes. That makes for a good excuse for my lack of accuracy but doesn't help me actually shoot well.
Anyway, I was shooting Federal 115gr FMJ, I only put 100 rounds through it, but it ran perfectly. It's accurate, soft shooting, good sights and completely reliable. It felt in every way like a CZ.
The factory mags are 17rd mags with red followers, and obviously Tanfoglio base plates. I also had 2 16rd CZ mags with black followers and flat metal base plates. They work perfectly in the pistol too. I had fun with it.
I also had a KelTec P17 22lr pistol. It's a compact pistol with 3 16rd mags. One in the chamber makes 17, hence the name P17. It was a really good shooter too. Only 1 hiccup in 200 rounds, one failure to extract. That was with a Win. 40gr. HP.
A brief, but fun time at the range, shooting ammo that I can't replace.
I've found that growing up in the sixties was a lot more fun than being in my sixties.
