I voted for the P-01. Here’s why...  My first CZ was a CZ-75 Omega, which I love. Then I bought a CZ-75 SP-01 Tactical; that thing makes me look like I know what I’m doing at the range. Then I bought a P-01 Omega, and guess what I carry now?  It shoots great, it fits my hand like it was made just for me, and it’s easy to carry.  Just my two cents, of course. Good luck with your search (it never ends by the way...) ;)

If you don't need a rail I vote PCR. Been carrying mine over 11 years now and just passed the 18k round mark. My favorite pistol of all time. The PCR is the same as the P-01 without the rail, same feel in the hand.

I have the P-01 and rami.  Definitely the P-01 is the better choice.  Also consider the P-10 C.   I know, not DA/SA but still a great option.  Or BOTH the P-01 and P-10 c.  Get the whole family of CZ!

Well I waited and watched for aP-06 for months. I couldn’t find any at a reasonable price. All have been around $1100 to $1200 for a used one. I couldn’t justify those prices.

Admittedly all of the CZs I have bought before have been either military or police surplus. CZ 27, 52, 70, 82, 83. All had been inexpensive and high value for low price. All under $200 each

When I decided I was going to spend this much money on a new gun, I started to look around more. Since I was thinking of spending that much, I decided to get something special.

I wound up buying a Shadow 2 Orange. Absolutely love it.

Still didn’t scratch the P-01/06 itch. Found P-01 on Gunbroker for $550. A reasonable price, so I bought one of them to.

Still hoping to find a P-06 someday. I think CZ should bring them back even in a limited production run. They seem like they would sell out quickly at a higher price then the P-01

Gee, I feel obligated to respond being the only one that voted CZ75B Compact 40.  Then consider hard chrome or NP3+ treatment to make it 'bling' and/or even more resistant to corrosion & future wear.

Good like finding either it or the P06!

You chose well. Paying a premium for a 40 caliber gun doesn’t make any sense. It might make sense if you can find them cheaper, but the 40 caliber was a solution to a problem that never existed.  I know that is cliché, but it is very true.  The P01 is arguably one of the best gun CZ ever produced, I’ll be it it does come with some issues.  Are used to hate this model, because typically they can come with some pretty greedy and stagey triggers.  Then the dilemma is to detail strip and work on the trigger which can be a bear given the way the DeCocker is set up on these guns.  I have learned to deal with it so now I can appreciate the gun more and more. I also think the standard P01 is a better gun and the Omega system and this firearm.  And now, with a range of sights to include the Tru Glo pro sights , they make a great carry gun.  Enjoy.

I’ll bring back my old thread. Finally found a P-06. Can’t wait to pick it up. Looks like it was carried a lot, but shot only a little.  Should be a great EDC.  It comes with magazines. After I run it through it’s paces, I may do the CGW pro package on it.
