Your First CZ
« on: February 06, 2021, 07:41:48 PM »
There's only one first and we all tend to remember our first one.

What was your first CZ?

My first was an '05 75B Matte Stainless that started the CZ journey.

A young local 'smith who has a love of all things 1911 tweaked it years later by adding a 10-8 ledge rear and a gold bead front sight.

The SP-01 Tactical. Still love it just as much as the first time I shot it several years ago.

Love that rear sight on this gun!

My first was a P-01 with a Cajun Pro package. Talk about falling down the rabbit hole. . .

For me it was a 75b in 40S&W. I no longer have it; not a 40 fan, but the gun I did like. Now have several CZs
Like a midget at a urinal, I'll have to keep on my toes

Short-wise mine was a pair of 99041s a month or so ago - and then ended up with a p01, ramis, and sp01s shortly after ..... :/

“Long wise” was the scorpion micro, a year ago. :)

A 527 in 22 Hornet bought around 1989 when Action Arms was importing them. I don't have it any longer.

CZ 75 Pre B.  Sadly let the President of the Gun Club at Yongsan Army Base purchase it and the 22 Kadet kit for the club.  Was the only DA/SA pistol on the range and was in constant demand for Army personnel trying to qualify with the then new M-9.  What a sweet trigger it had.

Thank you! It really works well.

P07 DUTY in .40 S&W.

Had just had more issues with the full sized M&Ps and was looking for a change.  Went to a gun show to look at the Sig pistols and make a decision on one of those.  Got to looking at them and asking questions and found out all those levers didn't contain a safety, so I changed my mind to look for something else.  Ran across that DUTY P07 and bought it.  Took it to the range, shot a better group right out of the box than any of the other various brands of pistols I'd bought in the previous 10 or 12 years.  Still carry it today.

It did grow into more though.  That's what they do.

Been modified some since then.  DI RMR with slide machined/cerkoted by Primary Machine (back up sight work by them, too).  Couple years ago I put a CGW reduced power trigger return spring and firing pin block spring in it, as well as a CGW firing pin retaining pin.  Put a set of FDE talon grip panels on it, too.

How well does it still shoot?  When I'm having a bad day with another brand of pistol trying to find something that shoots good groups I'll get frustrated badly enough to pull the P07 out of the holster and put tear up the X ring with it.  Then I know it's not me just having a bad day.

Sorry, the only pic I have of the P07 by itself is the sweaty picture.  Man is was hot that day.

I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?
