Red Dot mounted directly to sp-01 (non shadow) or p-01
« on: March 18, 2021, 08:22:15 PM »
Is anyone willing to post pictures of their  sp-01(non shadow) or p-01's with red dots milled directly onto their slides.  I've had Primary Machine mill numerous slides for me (glock, P10 c and 1911's) but never a CZ 75 sp-01 or p-01 and I was hoping to see how they look.  Cant find good pictures  on-line.  I will be mounting a Holosun 507k, but any pictures of red dots directly mounted would be much appreciated.  recommendations for where to have it done would also be appreciated.

Check with those that you might consider?  They should have pictures.  Pricing is really close in the $180 area.  CGW and CZC would be my other considerations.  BTW SP01 or Shadow version should look similar.  My SP01 Shadow is at CGW right now.  Milled for Romeo 1.
When did it change from "We the people" to "screw the people"?

Why use 911 when it's faster to use 1911 or 9mm?

Thanks Larry, emailed PM and got the milled depth. (0150") and requested pictures.  Unfortunately no pictures included.  I have emailed CGW too and waiting on their response.  I know that the shadow can be milled lower than the sp-01 because the sp-01 has a firing pin retaining pin.  I would love to see how your slide looks when its completed.

Unfortunately 8 week wait to send in and 3 to 4 weeks to get back.  Mid April?????  Will post it when it's back.

If I do another one I'll have it done for one of the smaller/narrower red dots (got one of the smaller Holosons on the shelf waiting on my to pick a pistol that shoots good enough to be worth it.)

A DP Pro on a CZ75 Compact looks funky.  One of the adaptor plates installed under it would make it a little better looking but also make it sit higher above the bore.

CZ 75 Compact w/DP Pro.  Same slide width as the full size pistols.

I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

I got some good advice from some forum members and decided to send my SP-01 slide to Primary Machine to have to have the Holosun 507k mounted.  Changed the color of the slide to Magpul FDE.  Hope it looks good, im sure it will shoot well.  I  will post pictures when its complete (lead time for milling and cerakote about 5-6 weeks)  :-(
