P-07 in 45.  I like that idea.

A refresh would be good. I love my P-07, but I'd be all over an OR version, and if the ergos were updated to compete with guns like the P30/VP9 (w/interchangeable side plates), I think it could be one of the most popular hammer guns around.

This right here.

My beef with the P-09 is the grip texture, if you can call it that. It’s way too slippery even with dry hands.  CZ - and everyone else for that matter - should learn from S&W.

A lot of people complained about the M&P 1.0 models.  So S&W changed the grip feel for the 2.0's.  Now the other half complains they are too rough.

I've got a couple 2.0's and have no issue with them.

The P09s?  The 9MM recoil is so light I have to keep telling myself it really is firing (smell of burned powder, holes in the target, but the recoil is minimal) so I'm fine with the grip feel on it.  The .40, however, has a set of the sandpaper like grip panels from Talon Grips on it.  And an older curved DUTY style trigger as the newer trigger, with the .40's recoil, bites my trigger finger.

I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

Agree with the minimal recoil shooting the 9mm. The observation was purely critique , not a complaint. It’s a great pistol.

If they are going to refresh the pistol, do it right. Like the glock gen5, improve all parts of the pistol.

1. fix the trigger return spring design to one that mimics the beretta m9's bomb-proof version.
2. fix the firing pin retainer pin issue.
3. redesign the slide so there is more metal from the chamber area on back (the way it tapers now, doesn't leave a lot of metal for the front lugs on a rmr/holosun cut.
4. add a independent locking block. (instead of using the slide stop to catch the barrel lug)
5. move the decocker to the rear of the pistol like the hk p30.
6. improve the pistols grip.
7. create a new size (p-08) 4-inch barrel and grip length in-between the 07&09, 17 rounds, like the glock 45.

I would be shocked if they did update it. I don't think they are spending another second on this platform. It would be nice tho, I only appendix carry hammer guns.... if hk ever updated the p30 slide to accept a red dot, that would be perfect, as it is now the p30 with trijicon hd xr(s) are as good as it gets right now.

I honestly wouldn't care for the refreshed gun that much. I just want for factory magazines and the 22lr kadet conversion to be available again.

You pretty much want an completely different handgun. I really feel the one main thing to imprive would be adding better grip texture. The P07 is great the way it is overall. The P09 is amazing and my favorite polymer handgun.

I haven't seen any mention of 10mm. Too much to mitigate recoil ?

Love my P09.
The only changes for me would better texture and optics ready.
Mine is the softest, smoothest and most accurate 9mm pistol I own.

Pardon the question please, but is the P-09 still in production?  I bought a P-07 last year only to figure out after the fact that they were (or at least appear to be) discontinued.   I'm about to move on a new P-09 in OD Green.  Thanks much.

Actually the .40 S&W P-07/09 are gone as CZ has dropped the .40 altogether. The 9mm versions are alive and well.
