Inherited a cz27 pistole
« on: April 21, 2021, 07:39:47 AM »
Thank you for reading my post. I inherited a cz27 Pistole 7.65 Kal the number on the top and side is 74399. Curious about manufacture date. Rough value orig holster included. And I read someplace it was issued to Nazi officers but wanted to confirm. Just joined your forum. Thanks again!

can you provide more info about the markings on the pistol? If it was pre-WWII it should have acceptance marks/dates. If made during the occupation, it should have Waffenampts (German markings).

Pictures are even better.  8)

Struggling to download pics, it has a waffenampt on the top between the word Prag and the number 74399 also the right side of the gun above the handle a waffenampt is stamped on the gun. The top says BOHMISCHE WAFFENFABRIK A. G.IN PRAG 74399 also on the left side the 74399 is stamped above the handle. The gun is bluish and has the cz stamp on both sides of the plastic hand grips which is a mahogany color. Thank you again for any info

Why is it apparently so difficult on American gun forums to use the correct German designation for the marking on German WW2 pistols?
It is called "Waffenamt" and not "Waffenampt", so WITHOUT P!   ;)
Literal translation of "Waffenamt" : arms office
